2020-02-18
After two years of continuous development, Onsoon officially released the IO-Link Device development kit. This solution has completely independent intellectual property rights and fills the domestic gap. The solution includes three components: IO-Link 4-port USB host, PDCT software, IODD file generation and comprehensive utilization management system. This kit allows users to complete the entire process of IO-Link sensor and actuator development.
After two years of continuous development, Onsoon officially released the IO-Link Device development kit, becoming the first domestic company to launch IO-Link Device development solutions with independent intellectual property rights. The solution includes three components: IO-Link 4-port USB Master, PDCT software, IODD file generation and comprehensive utilization management system. This kit allows users to complete the entire process of IO-Link sensor and actuator development.
IO-Link 4-port USB Master
The IO-Link 4-port USB Master is an effective tool for reading and writing IO-Link sensor parameters. It is connected to a PC through the USB interface and can connect up to 4 sensors/actuators through the M12 interface.
It is used in conjunction with PDCT software to view Process Data and also to debug newly developed sensors/actuators.

IO-Link Master has the following features:
1. Adopt aluminum alloy shell design, simple and elegant appearance;
2. Support IO-Link V1.0 and V1.1 communication protocols;
3. Support three communication rates: COM1, COM2 and COM3;
4. Support Data Storage function;
5. The 5-pin M12 female connector allows the connection of 4 IO-Link sensor/actuator interfaces.
PDCT software
PDCT is the abbreviation of Port and Device Configuration Tool. The IO-Link Master is usually provided with engineering support by the Port and Device Configuration Tool (PDCT). It integrates the IODD interpreter and supports configuring the properties of the port and Device.
Onsoon IO-Link PDCT V2.0.0 is a tool software used in conjunction with Onsoon single-port USB host and 4-port USB host. The software supports the latest "IO-Link Interface and System Specification-V1.1.3", supports SMI, and supports the host firmware update function. The download URL of the software is https://www.io-link.club/#/pdct.

The software has the following features:
1. Support automatic scanning of IODD resource library and automatic loading of IODD files;
2. Support automatic connection to the host and manual connection to the host;
3. It can be used for parameterization, observation and diagnosis of IO-Link Devices. It supports IO-Link V1.1 and V1.0 Devices;
4. Can interpret IODD files and support IODD V1.0.1 and V1.1;
5. Support Windows 7 and Windows 10.
IODD file generation and comprehensive utilization management system
IODD stands for IO-Link Device Description.
IODD is a set of files that formally describe an IO-link Device. IODD provides all the properties required to establish communication, as well as the parameters and ranges required to establish sensors or actuators.
IODDs are created by Device vendors in order for IO-Link tools to identify, communicate, parameterize and diagnose the Device. The fileset consists of the main IODD file, optional language files, and optional image files. Every IO-Link Device must use IODD.
Designing IODD files requires a deep understanding of IODD specifications. In order to simplify IODD design, Onsoon has developed an IODD file generation and comprehensive utilization management system, so that engineers who are not very professional can also develop IODD files. The software supports IODD designers to create new IODDs from scratch, as well as importing and modifying existing IODDs.

The system is a free software based on WEB. The website address is https://www.io-link.club/iodd. It is accelerated by CDN and foreign users can also quickly access.
Users are divided into ordinary users, general registered users and professional registered users.
Ordinary users have permission to browse and download IODD files; general registered users can download and collect IODD files; professional registered users need to have a manufacturer ID and submit information for review before they can register. Professional users not only have download and collection permissions, but can also generate and publish IODD documents.
The system complies with "IO-Link Interface and System Specification Version 1.1.3" and "IO Device Description Specification Version 1.1". It has the following characteristics:
1. Improve the generation speed of IODD files;
2. No professional XML knowledge is required;
3. Support the creation, import, modification and saving of IODD files;
4. Ensure the consistency of XML related elements in the generated IODD file.
